If you are following my instagram feed, I began journaling late April this year. At first, it was an experiment if I can keep up documenting the things that happened in one day. To be honest, at that time, I was so inspired by Abbey Sy and her artworks.
Six months after, I am still journaling, but now in multiple notebooks for different purposes.
Below are the journals that I use.
My Visual Journal – This is my everyday journal, where I dump all daily experiences (mostly at work and hobbies) and I lay it out in a page dedicated to that day.
My “Kalats” Journal – This is where I do the journaling with the photos, stickers, washi tapes, and magazine cuttings or ephemera.
My Personal Diary – This notebook is where I put out my deepest thoughts and emotions, especially when I feel extremely happy or sad.
And in this blog post, I will show some of the snippets that I had for my visual journal.
PEACE. Such a fleeting word that we aim to achieve in this age. It is not easy to determine whether we have peace in out life. In relation to this, I read somewhere a story about peace that caught my attention.
Indeed, having peace is having God and trusting Him in the course of our life. Giving Him the steering wheel to direct is in what we should be doing in our life is the best thing we can ever do to achieve peace.
Hello, everyone! Finally, I made a plan with me post here! Yay! I wanna share with you how I did this starry inspired spread.
What’s fun about it is I MADE A TIMELAPSE VIDEO AND UPLOADED ON YOUTUBE! I’ll be talking about creating a youtube channel in an entirely different blog post, but I’m still figuring out things and have so many ideas on my head that I can’t really work well (lol).
Been a while! Missed doing calligraphy and crafts!
This quote is from one of my faves, After You by Jojo Moyes.
Been almost a week after I quit my day job. I don’t want to share anything because it is not really my thing, but this experience taught me that we should not base our worth from what others think of us, or from a certain event in our life.
My friend shared a certain video on facebook about self worth, and it made me tear up because of the negativity that welled up in me the past few months. I am reminded that I am my own person, and that I should always approach everything with kindness.
One more day ’til the opening of Lubao International Balloon Festival, but the anticipation and excitement in me grows more!
Happening tomorrow, April 14th until Sunday, April 17th, various activities relating to hot air balloons and flying will take place at Pradera Verde, Prado Siongco, Lubao, Pampanga.
I am so excited as this was at first a dream during college. Now I will be able to witness it on the weekend. If you have been following me on my twitter, I have raved about this more than ever the past month!
Hello, guys! It’s been months since I posted something here. It’s really hard to be juggling a day job and my small shop plus the blog. But I’m trying my best in here!
In relation to that, and because of one unusual gift (from the boss), here I am, finding myself in an all new hobby, which is planner design.
The main culprit of this new hobby (lol boss sorry) is this beautiful Ever New/Forever New Sophie large planner in pearlized blush. It’s not really visible in this photo, but the holes in the cover design show the simmery fabric beneath it. So cool! By the way, this is also equivalent to A5 size Filofaxes and Large Kikki.Ks.
(In all honesty I was eyeing those pastel colored Kikki.K planners but this is a gift so… Who says no to gifts?)
I pretty much DIY-ed almost all contents in my new planner. FYi, this planner came with its respectful day inserts but I personally did not like the layout so I decided to find printables on Pinterest and Google for my inserts.
Here’s the inside of my planner. I got those dividers in a thrift store near the Antpolo Cathedral for just PHP10. Customized it with some of my few washi tapes and as of now, two of them have their markings already. I have yet to fill this planner with this I’d like to track.
First divider (yes, pink) contains the main planner pages.
Blank (still) month spread, and my first week of April spread.
The week’s theme is Sakura, because cherry blossom posts are everywhere. Springtime!
The notes section of my month spreads serves as a scrapbook-like part where I document random things during the month it’s in.
Next divider contains some of the original planner inserts that I am planning to use. Gotta keep track of everything!
Will try to post my weekly spreads to share with you. Hopefully I can make time for everything.
You’ll think, “What does she mean about ‘beyond the bad things that happened?'” The things that happened to me before and during the trip made me think that the decision to go is wrong. But the overall experience is a very memorable one.
We were to be picked up at Pioneer on 3:00am. I slept over Kezia’s (my best-est friend since college) apartment so that we can meet our friends together. Around 3 am we met with the van service and went our way to Zambales. Continue reading “Travel Diary: Anawangin Trip 2015”→
For a week, I play only David Archuleta songs on my Spotify. The songs suddenly reminded me of my high school days (always stopping everything at 9:00pm to watch the latest episode), losing the bet to my then boyfriend (who voted for David Cook, ugh), and singing to his songs.
This particular song (disclaimer: I wrote the wrong lyric. Sorry Archie!) has a hidden space in my heart because I just feel good everytime it plays.
And I can’t confirm this more, but he’s the only one who can make me feel kilig by just singing. Ah, my teenage days. Haha!
